Group classes offer a supportive, cost-effective way to continue recovery after a neurological injury. Led by a physiotherapist, sessions focus on strength, balance, mobility, and functional movement. They provide the repetition and consistency needed for neuroplasticity, while offering social connection and motivation. Exercises are tailored to individual abilities within a small group setting. 

Who Can Participate

We are currently working on developing a robust collection of group programs for a variety of disease conditions and functional ability's. Currently we are looking to establish the following Programs:

Rewire Stroke

Basic Requirements

In order to participate in any group class, individuals must meet the following criteria:
  • Be medically stable or have physician clearance to exercise
  • Be able to follow multi-step directions and communicate needs with instructor
  • Be able to participate in 60 minutes of activity
  • Be able to tolerate a busy environment while staying engaged without direct supervision
  • Be independent in using the washroom

How to register

16 Class Package (8 weeks)
This package includes a 1 hour initial assessment with a physiotherapist to establish your baseline function, goals and determine which class offers the appropriate level of intensity to support neuroplasticity. Classes are 60minutes and run twice a week (with the exception of statutory holidays) for a total of 8 weeks. Following your 8 weeks session, you will complete a 30minute follow-up with the Physiotherapist to check in with your functional improvements and discuss next steps.

Class Levels

In order to ensure that you get the most out of your classes, an initial assessment with a physiotherapist is required. This will ensure that you end up in a program that is best suited for your functional abilities and goals. All classes include a mix of cardio, strength, balance and stretching. 
Rewire Parkinson's
Level 1
  • Higher intensity
  • ​Individuals early on in disease progression
  • Walking Independently +/- gait aid
  • Minor balance deficits
  • ​On and off the floor with ease

Level 2
  • For those with balance deficits
  • +/- aid for standing and moving
  • Independent walking +/- aid
  • Able to get on and off the floor with extra time and use of equipment.



Level 3
  •  For those later on in the disease progress
  • This class is a mix of standing and sitting and is ideal for those with significant balance deficits who require support in standing at all time
  • Individuals are still able to stand for a minimum of 5min intervals
  • Individuals are able to ambulate short distances (5m) +/- gait aid



Level 4
  • Seated exercise
  • designed for individuals who are unable to stand for prolonged periods but still have voluntary movement in their arms in legs while seated
​Rewire MS
Level 1
  • Higher intensity
  • HIIT style to accommodate heat sensitivity
  • ​Individuals early on in disease progression
  • Walking Independently +/- gait aid
  • Minor balance deficits
  • ​On and off the floor with ease

​Level 2
  • HIIT style to accommodate heat sensitivity
  • For those with balance deficits
  • +/- aid for standing and moving
  • Independent walking +/- aid
  • Able to get on and off the floor with extra time and use of equipment.

Level 3
  • HIIT style to accommodate heat sensitivity
  • For those later on in the disease progress
  • This class is a mix of standing and sitting and is ideal for those with significant balance deficits who require support in standing at all time
  • Individuals are still able to stand for a minimum of 5min intervals

Rewire Stroke
Level 1
  • Higher intensity
  • Walking Independently +/- gait aid
  • Minor balance deficits
  • ​On and off the floor with ease
  • Active control of hand, wrist and shoulder on affected side



​Level 2
  • For those with balance deficits
  • +/- aid for standing and moving
  • Independent walking +/- aid
  • Able to get on and off the floor with extra time and use of equipment.
  • Limited active movement in the affected upper limb

Level 3
  • This class is a mix of standing and sitting and is ideal for those with significant balance deficits who require support in standing at all time
  • Individuals are still able to stand for a minimum of 5min intervals
  • Individuals are able to ambulate short distances (5m) +/- gait aid

  • Seated exercise
